Keeping your Electrolux washing machine clean is really important to make sure it keeps working well and lasts a long time. Here's a simple guide on how to do it:

Exterior Cleaning

How To Clean Electrolux Washing Machine
  • First, unplug the washing machine from the power source
  • Get a wet cloth or sponge and put a little bit of mild soap on it. Then, use it to wipe the outside of the washing machine, like the buttons, door, and anywhere else you can reach. Don't use rough cleaners because they might harm the surface.

Door Seal Cleaning Step Guide

  • Check the rubber part around the door of your washing machine. Sometimes, coins, buttons, or other small stuff can get stuck there. So, it is a good idea to run your finger along the rubber part to find and take out any hidden things.
  • When it's dirty, wipe the rubber around the door with a wet cloth, inside and out. Make sure the cloth is clean and doesn't have anything rough on it that might scratch the rubber.

Electrolux Washing Machine Drum Cleaning Step Guide

  • Look inside the washing machine drum for any marks or leftover stuff. Then, do a wash cycle using hot water and vinegar (about 1 cup)

  1. Remove all objects from the drum

  2. If your machine has AutoDose, deactivate this

  3. Run an empty cotton cycle with the highest temperature, on some machines, there is a maintenance program

Make sure to check if the inside of the washing machine drum is clean every time. If it needs cleaning, use a gentle sponge. Don't use anything rough like a steel cleaner or a wire scrubber because it might scratch the inside. After cleaning, dry it off with a soft cloth.

Clean the Detergent Dispenser

  1. Remove the dispenser drawer from your Electrolux washing machine
  2. Put it in warm water with a bit of mild detergent to dissolve any buildup or residue
  3. Use small brush to clean the little space where you put the detergent drawer. Make sure to clean well under the top part of the drawer space
  4. Once you've cleaned the detergent drawer, start a rinse cycle without putting any clothes in the washing machine drum.

Clean the Drain Pump Filter

WARNING: Never remove the filter when the machine is operating. Don't clean the pump if the water is hot wait until the water cools down.
  1. Open and remove the cover
  2. Put a flat bowl under the drain filter.
  3. Turn the filter to the left, like turning a doorknob, 180 degrees in the opposite direction of the clock's hands. Don’t remove the filter.
  4. Take out the filter and remove any fluff or things stuck in it. Clean the filter under a tap with running water.

Here are some easy tips to help you keep your washing machine clean and working well.

  • Before you start washing, always check and take out anything like coins or other stuff from your pockets.
  • Don't put too much laundry or use too much detergent in your washing machine.
  • After you finish using it, leave the door and detergent drawer a little bit open.
